The Government is being called on to join most other Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries in making driver licence testing an essential service.

The call is being led by The Driving Change Network, which aims to make driving education and testing more equitable. National coordinator Wendy Robertson says many will simply not get vaccinated, not get a licence, but drive regardless.
