Gloriavale appoints new acting school principal in wake of suspension of former head teacher for misconduct: Stuff

Gloriavale has appointed a new acting school principal after the previous head teacher was suspended earlier this year for serious misconduct.

Rachel Stedfast said Gloriavale had been “targeted” by outsiders of its community, which had threatened the security of the children at the school.

“Recently, the wider Gloriavale community has been targeted, leading to uncertainty and a level of insecurity for our children because they love their school life and their teachers.

“The pressure being put on us is threatening their way of life and has taken away the daily security that our children used to have in being able to go to our school.”
