Teachers and midwives at Gloriavale Christian Community have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

The move came as the leaders of the church, which was traditionally against vaccinations, began to actively encourage their members to get vaccinated.

The community of between 500 and 600 people at Lake Haupiri on the West Coast is within the area with the one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country.
