Gloriavale school – no need to plan because the Lord’s coming back

Two former Gloriavale teachers say the community’s belief that the Lord was coming back really soon impacted planning and training at the school.
They’ve spoken out following a damning Education Review Office (ERO) report and claim issues at the religious community’s school should have been identified by authorities years ago.
The ERO report found Gloriavale Christian School is not providing an adequate education to meet the registration criteria for a private school.
It said students are not progressing and achieving well, and their health and safety is not being monitored sufficiently.
