WorkSafe inspectors heading to Gloriavale after claims of 20-hour work days

WorkSafe is sending inspectors to the Gloriavale Christian community to look into claims some members were forced to work more than 20 hours a day.

Newshub reported on Thursday that two community members had spoken out about incredibly long work days, demanded by “controlling” community leaders known as “shepherds”.

“Sometimes you could go two whole days and you get some sleep but then you’re expected to go straight back to work,” one said.
