Stuff – Blackcurrant business supreme winner at South Canterbury awards

A Pleasant Point couple’s blackcurrant business was the supreme winner at the 2022 South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce Ara Business Excellence Awards.
Tony and Afsaneh Howey’s business, Viberi, also won the global exporter award at the awards, held in multiple events throughout the day, at Movie Max Digital Timaru, on Monday.

Thirteen other winners were announced on Monday under various categories during the event, including the newly added workplace wellbeing award (which replaces the workplace safety award), global exporter, innovation and technology, sustainability and environmental practices and emerging leadership.

…Gloriavale Leavers’ Support Trust was also recognised at the awards, winning the community organisation award.
