Survivor speaks out after sex offender found guilty

A woman who was sexually violated as a child by a predator in the Gloriavale christian community says she has carried the trauma silently for too long.

Jonathan Benjamin, 58, was found guilty of 11 charges of sexual offending against four girls and not guilty of five similar charges after a two-week jury trial in the Greymouth district Court. The jury delivered its verdicts yesterday after about 17 hours’ deliberation.
