I’m going to tread carefully here because I really don’t want this to be misconstrued as me trampling on anyone’s religious beliefs.

I respect everyone’s choice to believe or not believe in any god.

What I don’t respect is people hiding behind the veil of religion – or in the case of Gloriavale the iron curtain of religion – to act with complete impunity and autonomy to get away with a raft of sins.
